A selection of 8 innovative
case-studies has been compiled to inform and inspire a wide range
of audiences involved in the regeneration of Thurrock and the Thames
Gateway.
They aim to showcase a range of international projects and initiatives
that demonstrate a high level of innovation and creativity in socially
and environmentally engaged methodologies. These range from small
arts-led projects to large-scale cultural regeneration programmes.
The case-studies showcase a breadth of creativity, cultural engagement,
and environmental approach that contribute to a sense of place and
that positively harness the impact of change and development. Most
importantly, they draw from the local distinctiveness of an area’s
community, landscape and ecological terrain as the springboard for
change.
